TET was started in Japan in the 1970's by Mac Taniguchi who developed the trap system used by companies throughout the world today.

It was then bought by Rudy Bresnik at Emona Electronics who redeveloped the antennas to make them more robust and easier to assemble, while still retaining the Front to Back ratio and gain. With his focus shifting more to Amplifiers, he sold the business.

Employed in the industry and also a keen amateur, I could see the value of the product so two years later I bought TET-Emtron. As the adverts say "I liked the product so much, I bought the business ".

I spent the next six years attending all the hamfests, conventions and radio field days that I could to promote the fact that TET-Emtron was still alive and committed to building the best quality products. I made a lot of great friends, but more importantly I learnt what amateurs want and are needing in todays environment. With council regulations being enforced, and visual impact in new estates being an issue, amateurs were needing low impact antennas. Also with block sizes coming down amateurs were needing smaller antennas for the lower bands.

I was getting frustrated at not being able to get the time to work on new designs that people were asking for.
Graham Robinson of Bushcomm fame saw this and wanted to help. So after some thought on this, I packed up and moved over to Western Australia.

We are now both committed to improving and expanding the product line of  TET-Emtron. We will do this with stock levels, service and quality.

With the introduction of entry level classes, amateur radio world wide is growing again. Both Graham and I are excited by this, as we both like the microphone and are antenna nuts. A car journey is not enjoyable without HF noise in the background.

If we can be of any service to you, let us know.
